Poker is not only the game of ability and skills to read opponents and situations, but apart from these it is also a game of mathematics. You should know how to work out the odds of either you and your opponent winning the hand in any condition.
Many people find themselves in a dilemma, whether it is possible to win poker game without having mathematical calculations. Well it is possible to win poker games, but you should have better knowledge of poker odds and mathematical calculation for improving your game and for getting advantage over your opponents.
Mathematics can be used in different situations of the poker game: however, they commonly used when a player is on draw such as flush or straight draw. If you are on a draw and your opposite player is making bet then you are faced with a decision to call to accomplish the draw or fold and let your opposite player to have a pot. In this type of situation a player with good and fine knowledge of poker mathematics can be very beneficial whether he has the right odds or not.
Those players who are not familiar with poker odds will make a guess on whether they should go for call or not. When there is a large bet, they are of the opinion that it is too much to call and find the right card, but if they find small bet they they will more inclined to have a call because here they will lose a bit.
